Incredibles writer/director

Mon Nov 14, 2005, 4:59 PM
Last night I was very fortunate to meet Brad Bird, the writer and director for the Incredibles. He came to Dallas to accept the Tex Avery Award, an interview with the local tv movie reporter and a Q&A with the audience. Better yet, Brad Bird accepted the award in Tex Avery's old high school, which added to the awe of the whole event. Very Cool!! ^_^

The interview consisted of how his background in animation is firmly planted in the classic styles of Chuck Jones, Tex Avery and other artists; how the animation industry is changing from hand drawn to computer generated images, and past projects including iron giant and the incredibles. During the Q&A segment, Brad Bird delighted the audience by giving a sample of Edna's voice. Overall, it was a magical night that i will never forget.
